All dogs in our program must pass a form of temperament screening to be considered for breeding. We recognize all of our dogs will have different temperament's, but will not breed dogs that display any form of aggression or reactivity. Some types of temperament testing you will see are outline below.
The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test is offered by the American Kennel Club (AKC) to evaluate basic manners and good behavior in public.
A gun-sureness test evaluates a dogs stable temperament and lack of fear toward sudden loud noises.
Exposure training is simply exposing our dogs to other dogs, children, small animals, strangers, etc. Through exposure we can evaluate for reactivity and aggression.
